Step 1: Go to the FASFA website - here

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FASFA, is a form 'completed by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.' Step 2: Start An Account

Determine who will be filling out your application. There are two options: 'I am the student' or 'I am the parent..' Select either one based on what is appropriate to your situation.
